Polyform's Original Sculpey oven-bake clay works like ceramic clay, but will not dry out because it is polymer-based. Soft, pliable and kid-friendly, Sculpey has been used for decades to make figurines, jewelry and all sorts of other art projects. Paint with water-based acrylics, or use Sculpey Glaze as a base coating and then use any paint to finish your piece. Sculpey objects can be sanded, carved or drilled when dry.

Basic instructions:

Start with clean hands and work area. Knead clay until soft and smooth. Shape clay, pressing pieces together firmly. Bake on the Sculpey® Oven-Safe Work Mat, oven-proof glass, or metal surface at 275 °F (130 °C) for 15 minutes per 1/4 in (6 mm) of thickness. Baking should be completely by an adult. Wash hands after use. DO NOT USE MICROWAVE OVEN. DO NOT EXCEED THE ABOVE TEMPERATURES OR RECOMMENDED BAKING TIME.
